Even being dead isn’t enough to get you out of maths class.
Dying wasn't on sixteen-year-old Riley Richardson's to-do list. And now, not only is she dead, but she's stuck in a perpetual high school nightmare. Worse still, she's stuck there with the geekiest, most annoying boy in the history of the world, ever.
In a school where the geeks are popular and just about everything is wrong, Riley has become an outcast. She begins a desperate quest to get back home, but her once-perfect life starts to unravel into something not nearly as great as she thought it was. And maybe death isn’t really that bad after all...
Welcome to Afterlife Academy, where horns are the norm, the microwave is more intelligent than the teachers, and the pumpkins have a taste for blood.
Jaimie Admans does it again.
In the wondrous 'Afterlife Academy', your imagination is captivated from beginning to end.
When Riley dies, the last thing she is expecting is to have to attend school, after all isn't that for the living.
Follow Riley as she tries to come to terms with death and the education that goes along with it.
Reily wasn't overly likeable when she was human, she was the popular girl that liked to bully those she viewed as geeky..
But it's great to read how in death, the tables are turned and what she has always viewed as popular soon turns out to be the complete opposite at the 'Afterlife Academy'
Riley was a great character to read about and I loved how she evolved but the character that really made the book for me was Anthony,
He put up with a lot from Riley and had a very forgiving nature and although at first I felt myself feeling he should stand up to her, I soon realised that the way he acted towards her shows a strength from him, a confidence of who he is!
The 'Afterlife Academy' is a fast paced, funny read that puts a unique spin on what happens next!
Personally I hope it's another story from Jaimie Admans.
