If I Could Turn Back Time by Nicola Doherty

Blurb:

If you love Lindsey Kelk and Mhairi McFarlane's YOU HAD ME AT HELLO, you'll love this book...

What if you found The One, then lost him again?

Or not so much lost him as became the neurotic, needy girlfriend from hell. The girl who tried to make him choose between her and his job, and got seriously paranoid about his relationship with his female best friend...

Zoƫ Kennedy knows she doesn't deserve another chance with David Fitzgerald. But if there's the tiniest possibility of making things right, she'll snatch it. Even if it means breaking the laws of physics to do so...

My Thoughts:

Imagine being given the chance to go back in time.
To correct the wrong things you said and did, as well as salvage a relationship that you are lost without,
Well for Zoe Kennedy, this becomes a reality.

Zoe misses David and with Christmas fast approaching she wishes to have him back in her life.
Over night Zoe's life rewinds 6 months, to a time where her and David are still happy and her work aspirations are still in sight.
Will Zoe be able to make it right second time around?

After reading and thoroughly enjoying 'The Out of Office Girl', I have been eagerly anticipating the release of 'If I Could Turn Back Time'.
After a year and a half it was wonderful to be reunited with the writing of Nicola Doherty, to be able to once again get lost in the descriptiveness of her words and make new friends with the wonderful mix of characters before me.
'If I Could Turn Back Time' is pure escapism, with witty one liners, fantastic descriptions and wonderfully relatable characters, I couldn't put this book down!

It wasn't just the ability to imagine a life where you get to choose an alternative or the amazing sounding outfits that Zoe often puts together, what truly made this story for me was the friendship that was imbedded at the core of this wonderful story!

Zoe and best friend Rachel have this incredible friendship and I loved the fact that in someways they knew each other better than they knew themselves.

Stop the clock and lose yourself in 'If I Could Turn Back Time' chick-lit at it's best!

5/5
